| Dice Guide Certain actions require a die to be rolled to decided what happens. There are several different dice and must be used to decided if an action succeeds or fails, what you find, etc. Actions that require the use of dice are: tracking, hunting, fighting and dodging. Below each die or set of dice will be explained how and when to use them.
Karma There are four sides to this die. Excellent Karma - Your action succeeds better than you expected.
Good Karma - Your action succeeds.
Bad Karma - Your action fails.
Dreadful Karma - Your action fails with an extra consequence.
Tracking The tracking dice are used the decided whether or not you find prey. You will either find something or you won't find a scent. The tracking dice are labeled by area so be sure to use the correct die in the correct area.
Hunting There are two different dice for hunting. One is for small game and fish(rabbits, ermine, birds, tortoise, etc) and the other is for large game(caribou, moose, red deer, sheep etc).
Small Game and Fish There are three sides to this die. 'You caught it!' - Congratz, you caught your prey! There is no need to roll again once you get this side.
'It's getting away ...' - They prey is trying to escape, however you still have a chance to catch it. Roll this die again.
'It got away.' - Unfortunately, the prey managed to get escape. You must Track Prey again to try hunting again. There is no need to roll again once you get this side.
Large Game There are seven sides to this die. 'It's fighting back! - Be careful, the prey is trying to protect itself. Roll this die again.
'It's getting away.' - They prey is trying to escape, however you still have a chance to catch it. Roll this die again.
'It injured you!' - Unfortunately the prey managed to deal a blow to you. Roll this die again.
'It injured you badly!' - Unfortunately the prey managed to deal a blow to you and you are too injured to continue. There is no need to roll again once you get this side.
'You injured it!' - Good for you! You managed to injure the prey! Roll this die again.
'It got away ... ' - Unfortunately they prey managed to escape. You must Track Prey again to try hunting again. There is no need to roll again once you get this side.
'You brought it down!' - Congratz! You brought the prey down! Now you can make the final kill. There is no need to roll again once you get this side. | |
